"Today we were learning new vocabulary with words that have "s" and "h." I gave him a list of words and he chose 5 with s and 5 with h that he didn't know, then he brought a magnets game and I explained the words with those magnets, and he gave me examples and told me the definitions of the words with his own words. Then we read another chapter of the book the Little Prince. He is getting better with intonation. Then we read a story of the god Ra of Egypt and to finish we played Scrabble using the new vocabulary."
"Today we spent a lot of time reviewing, since it has been a long time since Student 1 was there. We reviewed animals, body parts and actions. We also learned some new vocabulary from the song "Vivir mi vida," and worked on translating parts of the song. Student 2 is doing really well with the new vocabulary, and Student 3 remembered quite a few words as well."
"In today's session, I created short dialogues for the students to practice Spanish. We worked on dialogues in Spanish, defined and translated words to English, practiced our pronunciation in Spanish, and played Rags to Riches using adjectives learned from previous lessons. The lesson went very well. I informed the students that we would be having short dialogues every class to practice speaking Spanish."
"We covered phrases used in the classroom, such as asking to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water, sit down, stand up, raise your hand, line up, write, show me, etc. We completed a reading comprehension exercise, learned the verb poder and reviewed older vocabulary such as facial features, feelings and talking about days of the week."
"As this was my first meeting with the student , we reviewed his understanding of Spanish and identified areas that would be beneficial for his future study. We covered basic parts of speech, including verbs and conjugation as well as vocabulary. He is an independent learner and has created most of his own study aids and curriculum. He showed genuine interest in learning the subject, asked for study materials, and was eager to schedule his next session."
"The student and I covered a variety of topics, mostly related to basic conversation. I introduced her to a Spanish website and showed her to use the website on her computer, as well as the app on her tablet. She remains motivated to learn, and will continue to work conjugation of present tense verbs, focusing on the "yo" and "tu" forms. She will begin working online daily in addition to her work on the Spanish app."
