Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session, we continued covering the rates of reactions, roles of catalysts and reaction order. We worked on conceptual practice problems and other assorted problems from the textbook."
"Worked together to solve problems on an assignment. That incorporated stoichiometry, balancing equations, limiting reactants, and percent yield problems. She seemed to have a good grasp on the material."
"We worked through the AP chemistry workbook sections on gas laws. He did well again. He should be fine on the exam. He learns quickly and understands fundamentally my explanations."
"The students and I reviewed for their science exam on Monday. We reviewed the periodic table, atomic mass and weight, octet rules, and valence electrons. We also practiced Lewis Dot diagrams and how to fill orbitals in the s, p, d shells, as well as diagram them. Additionally, we went over the 2 textbook chapters correlating to their exam. Both boys need to review more before the test and review notes and video on schoology."
"Today we evaluated several problems in statics, involving beams, strings, and both first Newton's laws for x and y direction as well as involving law of torque. The student is very well prepared and organized, and is ahead of class. He is getting well prepared for the upcoming midterm exam."
"Today we spoke about an element's principle quantum number, orbital shape, and electron configuration. We also briefly discussed the difference between eukaryote and prokaryote cells, in terms of membranes, size, and organelles."
