"Native American group presentation; I think he got stuck doing all of the work, which is common in these group projects. I think he struggled with contextualizing Native American stereotypes, but he got it when it was explained or modeled. We will work in vocab on Wednesday."
"I edited and reviewed the student's paper. She has incorporated many of the ideas we discussed in our previous session. It was a good session."
"The student worked on symbolism found in Shakespeare's Macbeth. This is very challenging subject matter, particularly when English is the student's second language. We discussed King James VI, who was the ruler of England at the time Shakespeare wrote Macbeth. We researched the symbols in his coat of arms and discussed their meaning. The assignment was to draw her own coat of arms and provide an explanation of the symbols. We formulated her coat of arms and drafted the explanation. She was to finish the drawing outside of tutoring time."
