"We used the 1-1 method by timing 5 min 45 sec per data set in the science section and alternated groupings of 5 questions. This was a very successful meeting as the student excels at pulling information from charts, graphs, and pictographs. Our next session will include provided breakdown sheets for each section and an extended look at the math section to improve accuracy."
"ACT practice today. We went over the English section in detail and covered the different elements of that and talked at length about how it is not just a grammar test but an editing test in general, meaning that style comes heavily into play."
"The student took another entire ACT exam on his own. As has happened in previous exams, he got almost perfect scores on both the English and the Reading. Since he is literally almost perfect (one, maybe two wrong) we do not want to touch those sections. Today we spent the majority of the time going over the Math section. We went over each incorrect problem and I wrote similar problems to the ones he got wrong. We also went over problems in a college algebra book. We finished by going over the science passage that he got two problems wrong in."
