Our son showed great improvement on his SAT scores. His math score went from 530 to 640, his writing went from 540 to 600, and his reading went from 680 to 670. Overall improvement of 160 points. He is very excited about his improvement. He is going to take it again to see if he can do even better. Thank you for your help.

I was very pleased with Heather [my tutor] and her ability to explain the terms and problems to me so that I could understand them. I felt like my text was missing some vital definitions, and she was able to break it down and put it into "real" language that was easy to understand. I only wish that I had found you guys sooner! I asked my academic advisor if tutoring was available through the university and all she gave me was a list of websites and a phone number to call to find out if there were any statistics labs available. The first lab was held during the final week of my first class--not helpful! I was very satisfied with my tutoring experience and have already told others about you. I am writing to let you know what a wonderful experience I have had with Varsity Tutors. I have never before had an occasion to enlist the help of a tutor, in fact I was often the student providing the tutoring help. Still, when I called to get information about how the service worked I was impressed with the easy, informative and genuinely supportive manner in which I was treated. Kelly was assigned as my physics tutor and he was extremely flexible when it came to working around my very busy schedule and on extremely short notice. During our first meeting he quickly accessed my learning style and where I was in my skill set. By walking me through problem solving techniques that work on every level rather than a step-by-step how-to for individual problems, I was able to make a lot of progress in a relatively short amount of time. Not only did Kelly help me succeed in the short term but he also helped me learn to think a bit differently about a topic that does not naturally lend itself to my style of learning. Kelly is an excellent tutor and truly a fantastic resource to any student lucky enough to have his support.
