Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we worked on kinetic and potential energy problems. The student did very well with these. We also worked on pre-cal topics such as law of sines and law of cosines."
"We reviewed trig functions with right triangles, unit circle, radian-degree conversions and concepts of radian measures."
"We went through a review sheet for a test the student has on Monday. The test is on momentum, inertia, and related concepts. After a little practice, the student was able to solve the problems on his own."
"We covered the final review for the semester. Overall, the student has a good strategy regarding the free answer portions of the test, and has said he will memorize all of the unit conversions beforehand and write them down as the exam starts. I'm proud of the progress made this semester! The student's gone from practically failing to a solid B, which is worth praise! Good luck on the final and let me know if you need me next year for math or science."
"Today we went over the student's first exam, which she was quite eager to review and make sure that all the concepts make sense now. Her algebra is perfect. We also talked about potential energy, which mostly involved a little work on negative signs. Tomorrow we'll talk about momentum!"
"In today's session, we looked over practice problems like those that will show up on the student's test tomorrow. We also did one of her worksheets to turn in for a grade. The questions were mostly on conservation of energy and work. She is doing much better at understanding and answering the problems that we worked on today. She should study the material a little more tonight, just as last minute preparation for the test."
