Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I spent the session reviewing projectile motion and working through practice problems. He stated that he is starting to feel better about the problems, but still has trouble knowing where to start. For the problems, we started with drawings to ensure that he understood what the problem was describing. We practiced separating the variables into the x and y components and using different equations for each set of variables. He will continue to work through the problems on his own during the week. He is preparing for an exam in 10 days on all of the material he has gone through so far. Next session, we will review the concepts that he feels weaker in and do practice problems before his exam."
"We covered the test she recently took. She was able to come up with a solution that matched the teacher's solution for every question. Now she can look back on this corrected test to review the material for her final."
"We reviewed the superposition principle, and went over how it is applied to electric field as well as electric force. We also worked on problems involving the electric potential and potential energy. We looked at point sources as well as parallel plates. We used Newton's 2nd law, circular motion and kinematics to determine the velocity of an objects accelerated by the electric field between parallel plates. We covered a lot of new material today."
