Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During our time together, the student worked hard at completing her chemistry homework, completing problems relating to solutions (particularly, calculating molarity and using the dilution equation). Although there were some clear concepts we had to iron out, by the end of the session, she had a very good understanding of the material and felt confident with doing these types of problems. Additionally, there have been notes of progress, as evident by her chemistry exam that she showed improvement on. As always, we had a very good and productive session and I look forward to meeting with her again next week."
"We worked on balancing and classifying equations. She made noticeable progress through the session but she really needs to work on being more confident in herself."
"We reviewed forces on bodies in equilibrium, specifically, a plane on the runway (forces on wheels using each set as fulcrum/pivot points), sign hanging from pole (horizontal & vertical components on cable, tension of cable, using triangles/SIN), ladder on wall (coefficient of friction). We also reviewed calculating linear speed of rope lowering bucket into well based on rotational speed of handle. The student has good grasp of advanced material."
