"We worked more vector based torque and force problems. These included different types of joints to be accounted for and using some other basic assumptions during the solution process. The student did well finding the solution process with the more advanced problems."
"The primary subject discussed was solution chemistry, including the concepts of equivalents of charge, molarity, osmolarity, and tonicity of solutions (i.e. hypotonic, isotonic, and hypertonic), as well as responses to tonicities of solution. The student should practice using equivalents and osmolarity in calculations, as these were slightly difficult problems for her, and should review tonicities just to solidify the concepts."
"We practiced over the test review problems his professor gave out. We managed to solve two of them. He is generally performing well for the problems dealing with trusses with methods of joints and sections, but needs help on problems with analysis involving centroids and liquids. We shall concentrate on that on Saturday."
"Today we covered Dynamics (specifically position, velocity, acceleration equations) and Differential Equations (specifically graphing of autonomous first order differential equations). The student really picked up on the concepts fairly quickly and seemed confident by the sessions end. Key to this session was relating the rates to their original functions."
"Today's lesson was primarily based on centripetal motion problems. The basic setup of the problems wasn't that big a deal, for he understood very well how the velocity is tangent to the circle while the force is center-seeking. We went over numerous problems of the like until by the end of the class, the student seemed much more confident about the material."
