"Worked on summarizing, recalling details and fluency from the story Fossils Tell of Long Ago. We focused more on math adding double digits with the flash cards. Did the 1-minute fluency, read more of the Fossils Tell of Long Ago, focusing on scripts to summarize the story. We continued to work on math fluency with the double digit sums using the flash cards."
"Today the student continued to work on reviewing for his semester final. We continued to talk about cell communication. During this time we also reviewed specific organelles in the cell and how the cell works together to perform functions such as respond to environmental pressures."
"We finished writing a summary on bonsai trees, making sure all the main ideas were represented in the writing. We looked at a concept called the paragraph sandwich which involves using a topic sentence, relevant details, and concluding sentence to structure paragraphs. We tried it out to see how we can move from a basic outline to developing paragraphs and filling out ideas while also keeping distinct concepts separate. We continued to hone vocabulary and spelling."

So today we just worked on her homework for tomorrow, and also went ahead and did a lot of the next section's homework. We even looked over the concepts in the next chapter, and she already has a great understanding of them!"
