"Client was having a little bit of trouble with Organic Chemistry, specifically with stereochemistry. She had issues visualizing the 3-D models to assign R or S designations to molecules so we used the model kit, some visual techniques, as well as Fischer projections to help her better understand. In turn, using these techniques, we were also able to cover concepts of enantiomers, constitutional isomers, diastereomers, racemic structures, and meso compounds. For the next session, we plan on covering concepts that she had trouble with in past exams as well as some biology."
"We basically reviewed the same material as before: we played the hiding game, the piano, and with stuffed animals. Cameron now knows "bao bao" (hug) and "ma ma" (mom). He's very focused on developing his fine motor skills. He also seems to understand requests and commands such as "open the book" and "play with the train""
"SAT Reading, which the student did very well on. She only missed one question in the entire section. We then did some English section passage comprehension and rewriting, which she did less well on, so that's an area to keep working on."
"Today I went over the ACT problems that the student completed at home. I helped her correct the ones she got incorrect and explained what method should have been used to solve the problems. I gave a list of 4-5 different math concepts to study. She also worked some word problems from an algebra book. For homework she has to complete 2 sections from the practice test."
"We practiced multiple choice analogies in preparation for the verbal portion of the SAT test. The student was great at using reasoning and critical thinking skills to arrive at the best answer. We also practiced comparing quantities for the math portion of the SAT. Finally, we covered common grammatical errors related adverbs."
