Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Multiplying, dividing, adding and subtraction polynomials. Finding lowest common denominators of polynomials. Looked ahead to the next section of simplifying complex polynomials."
"The student and I completed two homework assignments and spent a few minutes reviewing his assessment practice test results. He did a great job!! He seems to really understand the math topics. Well done!"
"I helped the student with her math assignment which consisted of fractions based on word problems; reducing fractions; and selecting the correct equation based on ordered pairs."
"The student went over the following geometry problems. He worked problems on reflection, translation, tessellations, rotations and dilations. This was mainly a review for him and he showed good understanding."
"Today we worked through the student's latest problem sheet. Some of the problems were a little different, so I would first work the problem and then the student would complete the next similar problem. This seemed to work well. He seems to get the hang of the methods for solving most of these problems. We just need to work more on simple error reduction."
"The student's math homework assignment covered the concept of working backwards to solve problems. In the beginning of the session the first two questions were difficult for him. However, by the end of the session he was able to identify the important information in each problem. He was also able to organize the information and show his work to solve the problem. This is a big win for him. With additional practice, he will be able to consistently identify the correct operations to solve similar word problems. He also answered all of the extra practice problems from last week correctly."
