Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We discussed the chapter on World War 1. The student really seemed interested in the chapter and understood it. It's a complex period of history because a lot of changes were occurring and she seemed to understand those changes and why they were taking place in various countries across the world. We went over the chapter and I quizzed her, helping her to remember terms for the upcoming test."
"The student really struggled this week with the practice test that I gave her. I encouraged her to review the study materials that I have sent her to ensure that she is ready for the exam next Friday. I want to use the final session to go over her weak spots."
"Discussed; "Super Pacs"; election terminology; 507 loans; critical roles of the voter; grassroots lobbying; Admin law vs. Statutory Law. The student struggles with the things most voters struggle with - some parts of the government process don't make immediate sense, it takes a deeper look, some research, and critical thinking. His attitude has improved. The only extra practice I prescribe is to create a list of things that are still muddy, then bring them up in class. Additionally take 15-30 minutes to relax, stretch, etc. He mentioned doing better in class on practice tests this week, he was also more confident in his answers than on Sunday. He seems more confident, and was able to support his answer choices well, and even found a question that might be contested if the same answer set shows on the actual exam."
