"Tutoring session covered Spring semester of Algebra I (factoring, solving inequalities, graphing, probability, permutations, combinations, radicals, etc). At the beginning of the session, the client did not remember most of what was on the final review. By the end of the session, she was flying through problems with ease. She needs more practice with basic math facts and help with organization of her schoolwork. Overall, the client was very quick and felt much more comfortable with her Algebra I final by the end of the session."
"Today, the student and I went over some Geometry concepts. We covered basic logic and reasoning. The student did pretty well with this, but does need to practice, in order to master it. We covered conditional statements, converse, inverse and contrapositive statements. "
"We went over some macroeconomic concepts such as monetary policy, the relationship between unemployment and inflation, and the Long Run Philips Curve. The student seems to have difficulty with concepts at first, but when I break them down, her applied knowledge becomes more strong."
"We reviewed the same French terms from the day before and I added three new vocabulary words: la maison, la voiture, l'ecole (house, car, school). The student is working hard but still mostly needs guidance or a hint or a cue when I ask for a response in French. We also continued yesterday's work on the English alphabet AK. He is showing progress in repeatedly identifying some letters correctly while he struggles with others. We are also working on him writing out the letters and familiarizing him with what each letter looks like and how it sounds."
"The student and I worked through some practice test sections. He continues to do very well. He has a lot going on recently including a few AP tests."
"We finished the review for his final exam. Tangents, secants, surface area, volumes, arcs, chords and a little algebra. The student has a few days to study and I think he'll do fine. We're hoping he scores perfectly so he can have an A for the year."
"Today I helped the student with an assignment involving developing equations of lines from graphs. The lines in this assignment were medians and perpendicular bisectors in triangles, like the student has been studying in the past weeks. She was familiar with the tools needed to complete the assignment, but she will need to practice this before her test. I think she will do well on her test, as she seemed to understand the procedures I was explaining. She is doing very well overall and I think she will excel in the weeks to come."
"Tonight the student and I covered her math homework word problems. It focused on time and adding time as mixed numbers. We also worked on a extra credit assignment. We finished the session by correcting quizzes and tests that she had previously taken."
"Worked with the student on six different types of analogies including; synonyms, antonyms, parts/wholes, degrees, types, and characteristics. Also, briefly reviewed the spelling and definitions of her vocabulary words."
"The student expressed concern on preparing for her upcoming test. There was a large number of topics to cover, but we focused on matrices and graphing/solving linear inequalities:
Topics covered:
Identity Matrix, sum and difference of matrices, finding inverses of matrices, matrix products, and graphing/solving linear inequalities.
We also went over two specific graphing and solving linear inequality word problems and she set one up herself with guidance as practice."

"This was an extra session scheduled by the student's mother due to some difficulties with recent tests. We covered a section on parallelograms as well as some extra work on similar triangles and dealing with ratios and fractions. I think the session was very valuable for the student."
