Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I discussed chi-square testing, running this in SPSS and interpreting results. She worked on her homework and went over class notes to prepare for her quiz next week. She seemed to better understand all concepts at the end of the session and we will continue to review core concepts next week."
"To begin gearing up her first attempt at the SAT, we began working through a practice test to review the strategies she has learned and the skills she has gained since we began working together. Math-wise, there are few problems she doesn't know how to do. Our work in math has been focused on how to think creatively about problem-solving. In critical reading, our priority has been to slow her down so that she reads carefully and avoids mistakes. We got through two math sections and a critical reading section. She missed two or fewer problems per section."
"The student and I had a good session. We spent the most time in the session reviewing math concepts, including probability and geometry. This was useful because some of these concepts hadn't been totally clear to him when we went over them before. We also spent some time working on a writing section. He did fairly well overall, although there definitely remains room for improvement. I assigned him math problems as homework."
