"Practiced subtraction using money as a visual aid. This method seems to have helped immensely. Student had a much better understanding behind subtraction after seeing how "borrowing" works in subtraction using 1 $10 and 10 $1 bills. Practice is still needed. Student is showing a much better understanding of multiplication as wells. Times tables are not needed as often, and overall accuracy has improved as well."
"This was our first session together. We only covered a worksheet that he was given as an assignment. This covered exponential and power functions. The student was engaging, asked questions and was very receptive. Things to work on would be manipulating his radical expressions to a manageable algebraic expression and lastly, deriving an exponential function from a story problem."
"Continuing to review for the next test. The student is making great progress and has noticeably more confidence when approaching problems. Still some work to do with logs and with unexpected variations on problems. I try to throw him a couple of curve balls each session and it seems to help. I left him with 3 problems to work on that cover the three problems that he finds most challenging. We will have one more review on Sunday before the test."

"The student did very well tonight. We went over some things he has learned since his last chapter test, which is now firmly in the realm of quadratic equations. We went over six sections, and the student completed all of the sessions. Next time I plan to go over this method, as well as review some concepts when it comes to graphing parabolas."
