Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Reviewed all the previously covered material, warmed up with adding and subtracting decimals with multiple places and did some speed drills. Also multiplied and divided decimals, reviewed common factors and did a number of multi-step word problems involving fractions."
"The student and I worked on the equation of lines. We wrote equations in point-slope format, standard form, and slope-intercept form. We also solved and graphed inequalities. We reviewed her past quizzes to see if there was anything she didn't understand. She went through the problems with a few issues. She said she had trouble with adding fractions, so I showed her an easy adding method. She picked it up easily and was able to finish her work with no problem."
"The student and I covered her questions on geometry 1 & 2 and chemistry 1 & 2. She will re-do chemistry chapter 2's significant digits section and its problems. She will also try the challenge problems for geometry."
"We continued to work on 3rd grade problems with the same goals as last time. The student continues to make efforts towards reaching those goals, and is making progress in her overall approach to solving word problems."
"This session was all about going over study skills for the test (i.e. process of elimination, handling test nerves, creating a study schedule etc.) and studying for his upcoming finals. We reviewed his video final and English final in depth, doing some review and making sure that he was able to comprehend what questions were asking him. He has a study schedule for this week that will keep him focused during his finals week."
