Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on reviewing polygons/area/perimeter for his assessment. He did well, but I'm concerned that the concepts aren't sticking so we'll keep reviewing."
"The student has a very complex test of probability coming up. She was given two worksheets, one mostly in binomial vs combination, and one that is all over the place. We made it through the first worksheet. We then did our best to make it through the complicated worksheet. I asked her to try her best and ask her teacher for some worked out answer."
"We went over practice problems for the Assessment Exam. I gave the student some strategies and shortcuts to help him with the longer problems."
"The student is preparing for the AP Calculus examination. She has been working on free response questions in her class so we decided to focus our session on the multiple choice section. During our session we were able to complete the entirety of the non-calculator MC section while going at an average pace to strengthen understanding. The student did well recalling the concepts from earlier in the year!"
"Today we reviewed order of operations and tree factoring in preparation for simplifying radicals. The student seemed to do very well with the tree factoring, however she did struggle on a few of the order of operation problems. With that being said, she caught on quicker once we started doing multiple problems and mastered the problems."
"We went over more chord and arc length problems and prepped for the student's quiz. I am sending him some practice problems to go over prior to his quiz."
