"Today, the student and I continued with microevolution and the mechanisms in which populations evolve. I brought a worksheet that allowed him to test his knowledge of these mechanisms, and he did really well! I hope that reinforcing the definitions of these terms will allow him to understand test questions and make insightful inferences on test day. I also brought some practice Hardy-Weinberg practice questions, and we worked through them together. He did well at understanding when to use the two equations, and I believe with a little more practice he will ace those questions on his test. Overall, he seems to have firm grasp on evolutionary concepts. I am planning on emailing him some more practice for the weekend."
