Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is taking a general chemistry course. We covered chemical kinetics and chemical equilibrium. We also discussed concepts of chemical kinetics and chemical equilibrium by solving a number of questions from the textbook. We discussed the effect of temperature, concentration, catalysts, and pressure on reaction rates and chemical equilibrium. I let her try to solve the problems first and help her if there is any problem. This way, she can be confident to tackle the problems by herself. We discussed about her problems in previous tests and agreed to discuss that in our session this Thursday."
"The student has a Chemistry test in a few days. After covering some basic concepts (units, interpreting the periodic table, etc.), we moved on to using his test review. He seems comfortable doing the calculations, but needed help with reasoning why he was using certain numbers."
"We went over percent composition, limiting reagents, and concentration. It was a productive session - the student needed help the most with units and deciding correctly whether to use grams or moles for a calculation, but made significant progress by the end. He was engaged and made progress and overall has a good understanding of the material."
