Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked primarily on conceptual ideas for this session. She had homework, but it was only two problems so she worked through it pretty quickly. We used the physics classroom and went through 2 or 3 sections of 5 or so questions each. The sessions were all about charged and neutral objects and their behavior towards one another. To prepare the student for her upcoming physics classes, we went over what a conductor and insulator are. I explained to her that in a conductor the electrons move freely and in an insulator the electrons are more "stuck" you could say. It was a great lesson and super fun to be able to delve deeper into concepts instead of primarily just computation and answers."
"We went over Bernoulli's principle and other fluid mechanics that deal with density, buoyant force, and changes in volume in a fluid. I told the student to finish the packet on what we covered today, and we will review it at our next session."
"The student had gotten a 100 on his stats exam! We are very proud of him and his teacher is also making note of his improvement! We continued with doing circuit problems today. We did several problems--one with complex circuits--in order to make sure he'll succeed on his next quest."
