Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we covered solving for angles using parallel lines, vertical angles and complementary angles. We also recovered some subjects on triangle congruence."
"We reviewed constructions and circle angle problems. We also looked over the first part of a project."
"We previewed two upcoming sections on trigonometric ratios, and using trigonometry to solve word problems."
"Today, the student and I reviewed various problems from her last exam. This included finding the slope of parallel and perpendicular lines, completing a 2-column proof, and working backwards to solve for the variable. She has an IQ exam on Wednesday, so we will meet on Monday to review various different topics. She will try to obtain some practice problems that we can work together on Monday."
"The student worked through some difficult proofs with relative ease. It is exciting to see him master some tough material. His proofs are getting increasingly difficult so even if he struggles with a proof from time to time, it is a very natural thing to do."
"The student and I went over some problems in her review packet for her upcoming test. We went over concepts such as identifying vertical, corresponding, and consecutive angles, finding angle measures, proofs, and mid segments and finding the lengths of these mid segments. I encouraged her to continue to practice and additionally identified a few problems on her review packet for her to go over with her teacher prior to turning it in. I also encouraged her to take her time while answering each question to avoid any simple mistakes."
