Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Mostly went over the exam questions that were most tricky and explained them in detail. I sent them my recording to have for future reference."
"We reviewed for the final exam. Most of the student's concerns were with problem setup and procedure, so we focused there."
"Yesterday the student and I finished our review of Calculus. On our last day we focused on related rates, optimization, and velocity/acceleration problems. We also went over some of the more difficult derivatives she will have to perform in the fall. She did very well with each of these concepts, and I believe she is truly ready for her class this fall. It has been great working with the student."
"Today we did some practice over the long and synthetic division in the beginning of the session, then we went over the logarithmic function. We graphed the basic function and used transformation for more difficult formulas. Next we reviewed basic properties of logarithm and evaluated logarithm using those properties. After that we solved exponential equations of type when you can change both side of equation by the same base. We also reviewed the properties of exponents by doing that. After this we were solving exponential equations by taking logarithm of both sides of equations. Next we reviewed laws of logarithms and used them for writing single logarithm as sum or difference and vice versa."
"In this lesson, we reviewed for the student's upcoming final exam. To prepare, we went over her midterm exam and worked through the problems again. We saw what mistakes she made and why. We reviewed each of those concepts and did a few extra practice problems."
"The student is preparing for his final exam, so we reviewed old test material. We went back over material from the beginning of the semester covering limits, their existence, the definition of the derivative, its properties and relating it back to its parent function."
