"We went over the an old exam of the student's. She got 52/75 correct. Most of the ones she missed were topics that hadn't been covered yet or hard questions. I also gave her a link to vocab definitions from her textbook."
"The student and I reviewed Key Issue 4 -- the final Key Issue -- from his textbook. He had a good grasp of this section and his questions about mortgages were quite astute. After reviewing the Key Issue and resolving any areas of confusion he had, we moved on to preparing him for his test tomorrow. We used his AP Study Guide to get him in the habit of answering to multiple choice questions. I think he will do well on this test."
"Once again, we focused on the broader concepts and looked over the student's past tests and his quiz from the previous week. We were able to find that a good third of his errors come mainly from not reading the question and jumping to conclusions without seeing what it is actually asking. Another third come from needing a wider base of knowledge about general tropes and trends among nations and being able to quickly generalize about a nation, region, or continent to connect it to the concepts and vocab words that he actually has a tight grasp on. This is where most of our focus is on as the last third is mostly just certain topics and subjects that require more reading to know what they are asking."
