Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we covered the anatomy and physiology of the heart. This included the anatomy of the heart, blood vessels of the heart, pathways of blood, the conduction system, and certain pathologies. The student was struggling a little bit with remembering certain anatomical names and pathways, but was determined to learn them. The student was nervous about the content in the beginning, but felt much more confident at the end of the session and had a clear direction of what she needed to focus on. I offered diagrams and simple word associations to help this student remember material. The student felt much more comfortable and confident once the session concluded about heart anatomy and physiology!"
"We went through his packet for chemistry. It was about percent yield and limiting reactant. I explained to him how he has to find the limiting reactant and calculate the percent yield. Then we went through almost 10 questions for this subject and he was able to do them by himself. He is doing great."
"The student and I reviewed for her science test this week (global climate change, weather patterns, etc.), and she has a good understanding of the material. She let me know that she got a B in her science class last semester, which is fantastic! We'll be meeting again on Wednesday for some more test preparation, with a focus on unit conversions."
