Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I spent this session reviewing for her upcoming test on aromaticity and electrophilic aromatic substitution. I was very impressed with her reasoning and logic during this session. This was the most focused I have seen her in her reasoning towards mechanisms and potential synthesis possibilities. She thought very clearly through each problem we worked on. I encouraged her to do additional practice problems and make flashcards to memorize all of the reagents and reactions she must know for this exam. Overall, she did a great job and just needs to put in some more time to nail all of the information down!"
"We reviewed reaction rates today. The student was having some trouble with these until we went over them together, and she was able to do one of these problems on her own. We also discussed Raoult's law for varying vapor pressure, and boiling point increases and freezing point decreases and how these are dependent on molality."
"We covered mainly problem solving skills involving acids, bases, buffers and titrations. The student demonstrated his understanding of the topic after the lesson. We spent some time reviewing a few key concepts from previous chemistry classes."
