Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Client and tutor reviewed criteria for paper assigned in the class. We reviewed Pascals Wager and attempted to break the argument into its logical parts and discussed how it connected with other ideas found in Pascal."
"The student had both a take home quiz, a hand in assignment, and review problems she needed to go over. The range of topics covered the law of sines, the law of cosines, determining the tangent of two sums, and solving equations with trig functions."
"Today, the student and I reviewed for his upcoming chemistry exam. We began by reviewing his last test to reinforce concepts in stoichiometry. We then worked through the review for his test practicing stoichiometric relationships among gases. He is really doing great. He can do all the problems on the review and was feeling very confident by the end of our session."
"Today the student and I covered chapters 7, 8, and 9 in preparation for Tuesday's test. We had already discussed each chapter in detail but used today to review all of the concepts again. We first talked about cell membrane structure and function (chapter 7). We then reviewed cellular respiration (chapter 8) and photosynthesis (chapter 9). I quizzed him on the information to make sure he understood it."
"Tonight, the student and I went over her test results for practice test number 5. She completed the English, Science, and Math sections. She is showing great improvement and will be ready for the ACT test. Next session we will work on the writing and reading sections and any questions she or her mother has at this point."
"We set up an external monitor, made sure that audio output was going through the correct channel, talked about differences in keyboard shortcuts between Macs and PCs, and planned for what we'd go over in the next session."
