"Today we worked on math homework over order of operations. The student also worked on a multiplication worksheet and a division worksheet. He also completed a reading comprehension worksheet."
"The student and I completed her adventure story and used a template I created to edit the story for vocal/ word choice, ideas and content and fragments and run-ons. We also worked on notes and outlining the templates for a presentation. Then, we completed and took notes on a worksheet covering the commutative, distributive and associative property."
"I assisted the student with math, vocabulary, spelling, and history. He made a few errors but overall did very well. I mostly assisted him with checking his answers and helping him to memorize vocabulary words."
"The student and I began the session by completing a 1st grade sight word inventory. He did well on this list, only missing 1 word. We will continue to review sight words each week and move on to 2nd grade sight words to help improve fluency. Next, we began reading Strange Bugs, a nonfiction book about interesting bugs. We compared and contrasted two bugs from the book. We discussed how they were alike and different. We also worked on fluency and reading comprehension with a passage about Tricky Animals. The student was timed reading the passage, and then answered the questions about the passage. Lastly, we talked about his homework for the week. We will plan to meet next week."
"The student's sentence construction is growing incredibly strong. He's starting to use predicates and subjects with a lot of ease. He's also incorporating adjectives properly. He's always a delight."
"She had extra homework because of the holiday. She got everything done but the reading, which she actually started to do on her own when the hour was up. Homework included 2 pages of spelling work and reading comprehension. She was really focused and on task today!"
