Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reinforced the concepts of the atom that we studied yesterday and moved on into learning more about the most common chemical elements. We had to read a lot of material today and we had a lively discussion of where to find the most common elements in day-to-day life. We completed the quiz on the elements and also a vocabulary quiz. Good job!"
"The student had a chemistry test tomorrow about atomic structure and history. Since history is more looking up the details and memorizing, I helped with the conceptual part of the review (structure, subatomic particles, nuclear decay)."
"She is a motivated student that really wants to pass her biochemistry class. She doesn't seem to have too much trouble understanding the concepts, but has questions on some of the concepts. Today we went over one week's worth of material, which ranged from characteristics of water to enzyme mechanisms, and I tried to answer all of her questions. She began to organize and digest the material using the session objectives she has from her professor. We are planning to meet again next Tuesday to continue to catch up on the material."
