Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student studied her spelling words, and I quizzed her. She got about a couple incorrect and continued to practice by writing them out. She also had Math and English homework. I corrected her work and pointed out minor errors. She was left with reading for 20 minutes."
"We went over what the student has been covering in his school lessons to evaluate where his reading comprehension is at. We then reviewed the alphabet - both uppercase and lowercase - before I gave the student the homework of reviewing and writing the alphabet twice each night for memorization. He was interested in the subject, and though he can read sentences, he still was not sure about some basics of the alphabet or words, so I would like to review those before moving onto sentences and reading on a greater level."
"This session was the second-to-last session that the student and I will have. We were able to tackle a new book which continued a story we had already read about a family that emigrated from Sweden to the United States, fleeing a drought and a famine. His reading performance was excellent. He managed to get some difficult words all by himself, including "helpless", "breathe", and a few others. I was overall very happy with the session. His writing was not as neat as it has been the past few times, but I think that was because we didn't use lined paper."
