Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I looked at a few questions out of an SAT practice book. We looked at sentence structure and rewording sentences. The student then did 2 free response questions from past AP exams. We also discussed progress in the U.S. with the development of the railway systems/interstate. The student had some questions about different government structures as well, so we discussed private vs government sector in the U.S., and secularism vs church in state."
"The student and I reviewed Key Issues 1 and 2 from Chapter 11 (Industry and Manufacturing) in his textbook. The student did really well on this reading assignment. He had very few questions and understood some of the more complicated nuances of manufacturing with ease. We'll review the remainder of the chapter next week."
"The student and I had our first session tonight. We are having two sessions this week to help her prepare for her upcoming AP exam in European History. We began by spending a few minutes discussing her course and the material she has covered in it so far. We also discussed the amount of and type of review she has been doing in class, and decided that our time would be best used going over some content review for the 20th century, while also spending some time discussing examples of DBQs. All together, she did exceptionally well and I am confident that she will do well on this AP exam."
