Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered his homework and study guide. We mostly went of naming functional groups and different reactions of organic chemistry. He did not know much of the material before our session, because his teacher didn't really go over it yet. However, by the end of the session, he really understood everything more clearly. He has his own homework and practice problems to do. Overall, it was a great session!"
"The student has a quiz tomorrow on acid base reactions, solution chemistry, and the driving forces of reactions. We covered each of these topics in depth. I explained the working definition of acid and base. I covered molarity (M) and its units (mols/L), and related stoichiometry and acid base reactions to the dimensional analysis the student had learned previously. She has a very good handle on stoichiometry, but needed some context to understand how stoichiometry relates to acid base reactions. She initially showed some difficulty in working with molarity. However, once she wrapped her head around its essential units, mols/L, problems went much more smoothly."
"The student and I covered his take home exam for kinetics and chemical reactions. He has strong knowledge in the concept. He also knows how to do the calculations. He just needs to refresh himself on which equations he needs to use."
