Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I met from 10:30-12. We spent time reviewing conics in detail in preparation for his final exam. We also discussed the other concepts including limits, definition of derivatives, and asymptotes. We will be meeting again next week for what will likely be the last session."
"Finished going over the student's paper. We looked at comma usage and sentence structure. We then did some work on vocabulary problems. We worked on some reading comprehension and some SAT sentence completion work."
"The student and I started going over biology lab, on which she needed to take notes. I began translating some of the steps of the lab, but she still didn't quite catch on because she had not actually done the steps of the lab in class. I told her to ask her biology teacher tomorrow. I then had her work on her history essay. Her math grade has improved, which is great news."
"Reviewed all of chapter 7 covering topics, key words, real-life examples, all sample problems, and homework strategy for the homework assignment due tomorrow. Next week the student is asked to prepare by reviewing chapter 8 before the tutoring session and have a basic understanding of all material before the meeting."
"We reviewed one-dimensional motion, velocity, acceleration, and vectors. Worked on two-dimensional motion, velocity, acceleration, and circular motion. Assigned homework and reading on Newtonian mechanics for the next session."
