" My last class of 20 students averaged over 300 points of improvements. I have had similar success preparing students for SAT subject tests and AP exams. My students benefit from my comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter, high energy, enthusiasm and patience. I spend time getting to know the individual needs of my students and then tailor a program of study that best addresses both subject matter gaps and test taking strategies and skills."

" I still keep in touch with many of my students, partly because getting to know a person, and getting a feel for how he/she thinks and sees the world is such an integral part of effective one-on-one tutoring. There seems to be a 'recurring theme' among students faced with difficulty in math or math-intensive science material- they've somehow managed to convince themselves that they are just incapable of "getting it". " I absolutely believe that every student can succeed in math. My approach to teaching/tutoring is building confidence through math. Often times, I have students who say they "don't get it." However, I show them they may not get the whole picture yet, but they do have an understanding of some. And by showing them tangible steps they can use time and again, students see they can “get it”."
