Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over the last part of the student's review sheet today, covering how to find the equilibrium point on a S&D graph, the producer and consumer surplus and the accumulated/ present value totals."
"Today the student worked on one of her quiz. This is a 20 problems quiz, so she was able to cover half of it in the time we spent together. The questions were related to relative extremes. She did great in most of the problems. She sometimes rushes to the finish line and that's how she gets into trouble. We have worked on these issues so she can be prepared to do her midterm on Saturday."
"Review of logarithmic differentiation. Learned differentiation and integration of inverse trig functions."
"We covered word problems specifically during this session. We also covered open ended questions to prepare her for that section for her state-wide exam tomorrow. She was a bit shaky in the beginning, but as the time went on, she grasped the material herself. We also went over more multiple choice questions, which she performed amazingly on (99% correct). And finally, we went over two-step equations. She mastered this since the first time we met."
"We covered operations with rational functions. We looked at if the numerator/denominator were in fact binomials and tried to connect that rational functions are very similar to fractions. I would recommend working/practicing this a few more times."
"We covered the concepts of roots, factors of roots, and radicals, and then we used them to simplify and solve equations with exponents."
