Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The first student had chemistry homework over covalent bonding and needed help with Lewis structures so we did a lot of practice on that front. The second student had a little bit of geometry homework on parallelograms."
"The student and I reviewed for her quiz on Lewis structures. She had a very good grasp of the information and just wanted to touch up on a few things."
"The student received a review packet for her test. We went back to scientific notations, and we worked on multiplying and dividing them. She had no trouble with any of those. We also worked on percent error and density. Next, we went into unit two. We quickly reviewed the first part of unit 2, which consisted of different kinds of experiments and the atomic theory, including J.J. Thompson's cathode ray experiment and Rutherford's Gold Foil experiment. I also supplemented Millikan's oil drop experiment and Chadwick discovering the neutron. After that, we covered atomic numbers, mass, protons, electrons, neutrons, and elements. Furthermore, we also reviewed electron configuration, which took up the bulk of the lesson. I quickly reviewed energy levels, sublevels, and orbitals quickly with her. We went over writing out electron configurations and I also supplemented writing noble gas configurations for them. Finally, we went into different kinds of radioactive decay, which we will continue next week."
