Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"U substitution and change of limits. Revision of basic power rule for integration, standard differentials, multiplication of exponents, mental math for perfect squares with fractional exponents."
"We reviewed the theory of graphing rational functions and applications of derivation. The student performed better than she believed she would."
"The student has an exam coming up and wanted to cover Limits, Continuity, and Derivatives. He realizes that there are several concepts that are covered in his new course, that were not covered in his high school course. He picked up the new material quickly. I asked him to contact me with the results of his exam, and to discuss if he needs additional help."
"We continued to cover problems that involve using multiple derivative rules. We began working on these problems with trigonometry rules as well. The student showed much more ability this week. She has started showing more confidence and showed improvement on her most recent test. I think more practice will lead to even more confidence and better test scores."
"We covered the chain rule and how it can be applied with the other rules of differentiation that we worked on. We will continue to apply these rules in upcoming sessions when we look at trig functions, exponential functions and logarithmic functions. We worked through some examples of more complex differentiation problems and I feel that the student is really grasping the concepts."
"We covered derivatives and the many forms of equations that might appear on the student's quiz concerning derivatives. Like always, he was very enthusiastic about achieving a solid understanding of the material."
