Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session, we began a discussion of radical reactions, particularly the mechanism of how they work and how they differ from the typical reaction mechanisms we have covered so far. We also looked in depth at the bromination of an alkene compared to the radical bromination of an alkene that included a discussion of Markovnikov and Anti-Markovnikov reaction products."
"We went over sigma and pi bonding of organic compounds, constitutional isomers, cis-trans isomers, when compounds are the same compound drawn in a different way, when atoms are sp3 vs. sp2 or sp, and when hydrogen bonding is possible."
"We reviewed topics in atomic structure in preparation for a test. We completed a few problem on photon energy, reviewed electron orbital ground state configurations and quantum numbers for atoms and ions (and how these align with the organization of the periodic table), discussed true/false and multiple choice questions about atomic models, and discussed the factors that affect atomic radii and other related quantities."
