"The student and I completed homework problems from her textbook and I feel that she has a solid understanding of the material. We went through each problem step-by-step and she was able to successfully ask and receive answers to each problem. She has an upcoming exam, and I'm confident that with additional study, she will perform well. She has additional problems to work on in preparation."
"We went over his test from two weeks ago (that he got back this week). He received an A-, which was better than the B he had gotten on the previous test. We spent the rest of the time working on logarithms."
"I met with the student and helped her with Chapter 10.6 homework, which involved graphing and solving systems of equations involving lines, parabolas, hyperbolas, circles, and ellipses. She seemed to pick up on the homework right away. We also spent some time solving three function-systems using matrices and row reduction."
"Reviewed for final exam: covered Chapter 7: Systems of Two Equations; Sect. 7.1: Solving Systems of Two Equations; Sect. 7.3: Multivariate Linear Systems and Row Operations; Sect. 7.5: Systems of Inequalities in Two Variables; Chapter 6: Applications of Trigonometry; Sect. 6.2: Dot Product of Vectors; redid problems on test 7, problems #1 - #7; started working on test on Sect. 6.2, problem #1"
"We worked on graphs of exponential functions. She had started to understand the material and I helped her solidify her understanding by walking through some problems with her. She was able to match equations to graphs and graph equations, finding the horizontal asymptotes, domain, range, and y-intercept."
"Today we worked on understanding angles through sine, cosine and tangent functions. To do this, we had to familiarize ourselves with the unit circle. We color coated the circle to make it easier to recognize the parts of it. I could see that the circle was still a little foreign to the student, but I think he is starting to get it. After that, we moved back to trigonometric identities. He needs more work with them. There are certain properties that I told him he needed to memorize, so I assigned him homework to make flash cards and memorize the really important ones."
