Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we reviewed trapezoids and evolution; concentrated on differences between analogous, homologous structures, and how they relate to each other in terms on evolution."
"The student completed his homework on volume and surface area of spheres. Then we got through most of a review for a quiz."
"We reviewed the next two sections of her chapter, and did the class handouts and homework for those sections."
"The student and I finished studying for her geometry final today. We went through all of the questions that she marked as confusing or difficult and created several pages of notes for use on the exam. Often, once she really looked at a question, she found out that she could in fact do it on her own. She did a great job!!"
"Today, we covered the review packet for geometry. We used the distance formula and the midpoint formula to find the length and midpoint between two points, respectively. We also reviewed what skew lines are, which have different slopes but do not intersect. We reviewed which types of angles are congruent or supplementary. Moreover, we covered the converses and contrapositives of if then statements. The student was eager to learn the material. He understood all the material presented to him."
"The student and I covered every chapter of Geometry in brief, from the very basic concepts to the most recent things she covered. She is very confident with the vast majority of the work and knows how to answer all types of problems. The only thing that causes her to miss problems is when she doesn't fully read and understand the problems. I explained to her that focus on understanding questions should be her primary concern in her tests."
