Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today was my first meeting with the student. We covered trigonometry. This included definitions and properties of trigonometric functions, including graphing of sine and cosine. We studied properties of sine and cosine and how to graph the general function y = A sin(k x + b). We also did some problems in rotation and kinematics of uniform circular motion."
"We went through problems with series and sequences, reviewing common ratios and differences, and we also glanced at the physics material."
"I had my first session with this student . She had a smattering of questions from past tests that we discussed. Most questions focused on properties of logarithmic and trigonometric functions."
"We studied for the student's test tomorrow. She had written down a list of topics, and we talked about each of them. I let her work through the problems, only helping her along when she got stuck. She also took notes to help prepare for the test."
"We finished up the conics review and continued with parametric equations with conics. The student was able to quickly understand converting parametric equations to rectangular form once I reminded her how to approach these questions. She remembers how to solve problems once she is reminded of the methods used, so I'll try to reinforce what we go over so she can recall by herself."
"My very first session with this student went extremely well. This time around we had to do a bit of cramming to ensure she was well prepared for her exam tomorrow on unit circle radians and trigonometric functions. She did very well on most of the problems I assigned her during the session, and as a result we were able to cover all the material she needed. We will see how much she improves on her exam and devise ways to maximize the sessions and her potential."
