Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Chain rule, U substitution, differential equations and indefinite integrals. Those were the concepts we reviewed from the student's homework"
"The student scored an 84 (with corrections) on his most recent test. We reviewed his most recent test (integration) and began a review of his previous tests. He will take his final exam on 5/18."
"We went through most of the review tonight. The student seems like she is just about there. Tomorrow we are going to finish going over the rest, but she should be ready."
"The student and I covered exponential growth, decay, elasticity of demand, and Newton's law of cooling. This is difficult material; it involves differential equations which is a topic usually reserved for a more advanced course. Nevertheless, he has a very good grasp on the material and is in good shape for his chapter test. He has put in some extra work this week and it has paid off."
"In this session we covered derivative concepts including inflection points and the second derivative. I was informed the student has a test on Friday. She seemed to be a little unclear on interpreting data from the derivatives of a function, but this concept only needed some minor refreshing. She felt confident that she was ready for her test."
"We began a new topic in Calculus, which is finding the extrema of a function. We worked on problems from her online website. The student seemed to really understand the material after I gave a mini-lecture and went over a few problems."
