Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I went over the results for her practice exam #4. We also started identifying trends over her last few exams. Overall, her performance is greatly improving. The student scored an 1835, with noticeable improvements in the reading and writing sections. We had the results of exam #5 (a 1910), but we didn't go over that exam. We will cover that in our next session. The student was also, for the first time, able to complete the entire exam in one sitting and in the morning."
"We went over mistakes on the most recent test. Needs to concentrate when working with negatives. Also covered material for next test regarding slope, intercepts, and graphing equations. Understands the concepts very well. "
"During this session, the student and I worked on her math homework. This homework was still from chapter 5, and went over the concept of multi-variable systems. She struggled with it a bit, but I think she understands the major concept."
"This was my last session with the student. She is very sweet and I've enjoyed working with her. She did great with the vocab and really got into the passage. We reviewed reading test skills again. I sent her an email with advise for the essay and basic test tips. Hoping she does well on Saturday!"
"This evening was our initial session. The student was assessed to find out his knowledge of Spanish. I asked him a series of questions and the lesson was primarily conducted all in Spanish. I had him read from an elementary, intermediate and advance Spanish book. He has fantastic pronunciation and comprehension. His skills are above average. I requested that his mom obtain lesson plans from his teacher so I may prepare some cross-curriculum lesson plans in Spanish to enhance his language acquisition along with his core subjects in school. We shall work on expanding his vocabulary base, reading, writing and conversation skills. I explained our future lessons and what types of projects we shall be working on. He is a delightful, intelligent and sharp young man. Our next session will be on Friday at 5:00 p.m."
