"We worked through a practice test, covering combinatorics and the principles of statistics (Mean, Std Dev, Z score, etc.)."
"We finished up 2 sample testing and went over testing of the difference of means. Initially, the student had a little trouble distinguishing between the two, but she improved with practice. I sent her some online problems to practice with. She takes her final on Wednesday."
"We reviewed the student's practice questions as well as chapter 12. We're meeting again today for an hour and half to finish reviewing."
"During this session, we worked on some of the student's specific problem areas. The problem set was comprised of disc method, shell method, Hooke's law, arc length, polar coordinate arc lengths, and some volumetric modeling methods. He has a great grasp of the material. We also worked ahead into surface areas for a small bit. I gave him some additional practice problems. We will meet again before his next exam."
"We covered how to calculate the area of trapezoids. It went really well. She was very interactive. She seems to speed through her calculations which can result in minor mistakes. Otherwise she is doing very well. She is very enthusiastic."
"With the student, we reviewed his old exams, focusing on the problems he answered incorrectly. After which, I took some problems out of his textbook that covered the same topics. These were from chapters 5 and 7 and covered multiplying and dividing fractions as well as proportions. I gave him two proportion problems for homework."
