Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In our first session, I was briefed on what areas the student struggled with. We explored some practice problems and did some homework. The schedule is set for twice a week."
"We covered long division extensively and also covered number places. The student did very well and is really starting to understand the material."
"We solved problems involving conversions between units of measurement. By the end of the session, the student demonstrated that she understood the work by solving the problems correctly."
"Last Saturday, the student and I began to practice for the test. We completed a math and ELA practice test online. The reading section was a little challenging for him, especially the free response section, where students have to type out their answers. This is an area where I will continue to work with him."
"First we went over her math test. Then we did a center I brought on main idea. Next we did reading comprehension and a DIBELS test. Finally, we went over spelling packet to brainstorm what she could write."
"The student completed listening comprehension worksheets that required him to listen to instruction and choose the picture that is best associated with the phrase. He was able to complete this with 90% accuracy. We reviewed test-taking skills to help prepare him for standardized testing. We worked the majority of the time on math skills including triple-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. He completed word problems that required him to determine which math function to use to complete the problems. He also added and subtracted fractions. He was able to reduce fractions as well."
