"The student and I worked on calculating molarity of solutions for her chemistry homework. We then switched to math and worked several problems finding the equation of lines from their graph. I am happy to report that she will receive an award for most improved student at her school on Friday. Way To Go!!!"
"Today the student started factoring. She is actually really good at it, and the "box method" that her teacher taught her seems to be working very well for her."
"Algebra- Student one and I went over properties of exponents and how to solve polynomial equations. Geometry- Student two and I went over how to find areas of different regular polygons by using small triangles."
"Today we worked on finding the central tendency of the given data. We worked on finding mean, median, mode, finding IQR, outliers, and making box and whisker plots using this data. I have emailed a Mock Final to the student, and she will work on it before we meet for the next class."
"We covered the box and whisker plot, the measures of central tendency, and solving quadratic equations by completing the square and using the quadratic formula."
"We worked on finding the vertex and diameter of circles given either two points on the circle or the standard equation of a circle and vice versa. We then found the vertices, co -vertices, foci, and/ or asymptotes of hyperbola and ellipses. We also wrote the standard equation of a hyperbola or ellipse using vertices, co -vertices, foci, and/ or asymptotes. The student had no problems with these concepts."
