"The student's final exam is tomorrow. His mother had made practice problems from his review sheet, and she asked that we go over each one until he was able to complete the problem on his own. During this session, we did problems using the Law of Sines and the Law of Cosines, how to find the midpoint and distance between two points, and how to solve for side lengths of similar triangles."
"The student and I met to study for her geometry final exam. We reviewed all the major concepts and she did well remembering all the formulas and processes. I believe she'll do well on the final, even though she seemed to lack confidence. Her last test grade was a B, though the two tests before that one were both A's. I'm sure she'll do fine."
"We reviewed for her Geometry final, focusing on finding the areas of polynomials. She needs to draw a picture to keep everything straight, but she knows all the formulas and steps. Then, we went through her Biology test corrections. We also went through a few sections of her review sheet for her final."
"Topics covered include distance formula, simplifying radicals, solving for algebraic equations. Various problems were practiced with the distance formula, algebra equations, and simplifying. The student was left with problems for homework, and multiplication tables to practice."
"During yesterday's session, we reviewed for the student's test. The material covered various formulas for surface area and volume of cones, spheres, cylinders, and pyramids. I wrote up problems involving the necessary equations, so that he could practice applying them. By the time the session was over, he understood how to use the formulas and just needed to memorize them."
"We covered material on her Geometry Final tomorrow. The student worked through her packet with just a little assistance from me. Overall, she did really well on all other Geometry concepts."
"Today was my last session with the student before his final. We went over exclusively the newest material from this semester, because he claimed that the majority of the final would be on those topics. The topics at hand were easily covered once we slowly went through the two study guides he had been given to review by his teacher. We went over all previous things we had covered about probability, including independent and dependent events, inclusive and mutually exclusive events, Bayes theorem, Venn diagrams, adding, and multiplying probabilities."
"We first went over the student's review packet in preparation for his final exam. We also went over the student's Euclid proof assignment and wrote out a full two-column proof for the assigned proposition. We also briefly went over the student's recent Chemistry class work involving organic chemistry. Overall, the student seemed to understand the material very well."
"The student is learning about transformations, including translation, rotation, and reflection. We went through her homework assigned from the textbook and a packet. The student had a solid understanding of the material and only needed help on a few occasions, mainly regarding attention to detail."
"First session; introductions; discussed areas of difficulty and plan for the next sessions; ratios in regards to perimeters, surface areas, volumes, lateral areas of various objects--triangles, rectangles, prisms, cylinders, etc.; had client repeat formulas learned in session; suggested student ask teacher which formulas she should use. Her class doesn't have a textbook so it is difficult how to gauge the teacher's material or how much she has covered."
"We covered Geometry problems to help her review for her upcoming test. The student overall knew how to solve the problems, just needed help refreshing her memory on older topics. The tutoring session helped her become more confident in solving geometry problems as well as answering algebra related questions."
"During last session we went over triangles, circle, circumscribed triangles, tangent lines, properties of tangent, and coordinates plane. Also went over standard equation of a circle, calculating radius and center of circle, and various book problems. Great session."
