Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I covered linear momentum, work and energy. We went through the chapters and example problems within the chapters to further any questions and problems she might be having. We worked through those problems (conservation of momentum and net work) and fixed any issues. She has not learned linear momentum in class yet but went through that topic since it will be the next she will be learning. She grasped the concepts and will have it soak in before she learns it in class."
"We spent half of this session on physics, and the other half on math. The student did very well completing his physics assignment on gravitational potential energy, kinetic energy, and elastic kinetic energy. Even though he asked to verify if he was setting up and solving the problems correctly, I am confident he has these topics down solid. For math we worked on solving expressions involving exponents and radicals. We needed to review the inverse relationship between exponents and roots, as well as factoring quadratic expressions. Overall, the student did quite well on this too."
"The student completed the homework problems that he had not done from section 2.1 of his algebra book and then moved on to section 2.2 covering linear functions, standard form, intercepts, and graphing. After that we covered some physics. We reviewed chapter 2 and the first part of chapter 3 which he remembered very well, and then covered the last part of chapter 3 on Newton's first law of motion."
