Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over measures of central tendency and variability, as well as box-and-whisker plots. She seemed to have a good grasp on everything."
"The student and I reviewed problems in preparation for his final exam. The problems covered much of the semester's syllabus."
"We completed the next 6 quizzes in chapter 15. The student is progressing well and has made a 12% point increase between exam 1 and exam 2. :)"
"This was the first session, and I wanted her to get familiar with me, so we spent a little of the time getting to know each other. As far as math, we used her percentage/ fraction cubes to play around with determining equivalent fractions both visually and mathematically. We will continue to work on that next session because she still seems to need some more practice, especially since it will be tested in school."
"The student called and asked for a special session to study for his math Unit 4 make up exam. Since he had missed 5 assignments from that unit, I printed two significant ones from 4.3 and 4.4 for him do to prepare for the test. This proved to be a good strategy as it seemed that he conquered two column proofs both mentally and on an emotional level; he no longer sees them as insurmountable, and even got to the point where he was enjoying the challenge."
"Today we did an AP Calculus Quiz and test review. We covered average and instantaneous rates of change, physical interpretation of slope, and approximations."
