Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked on using all of her spelling words in sentences. We then worked on reviewing her division facts for the factor 3, and then she did a timed fast math worksheet for homework. We practiced her 4s and 5s as well."
"This session, the student and I covered topics from his last session, particularly coins and money of different denominations and reinforcing double-digit addition and subtraction. I also helped him recognize different US coins and remember their value."
"We started by practicing multiplication facts. The student is doing very well with these. We then read a short article about Milton Hershey and answered 10 comprehension questions that went with it. She did well with the questions. We finished by working on perimeter."
"First, we reviewed the students' math homework. Neither student had many issues on the homework. Then, we studied for their quiz on bones and the skeletal system. By the end of the session, they were able to label all the parts and define all of the vocabulary words."
"The student had homework tonight that covered 1- and 2-step expressions with graphing. She is very confident with this skill now, but does forget the rule to flip the inequality sign when multiplying or dividing by a negative. She is still making mistakes with the operations with positive and negative numbers. We will continue to work on these issues in our future sessions."
"The student had completed her reading assignment before I arrived. We went over it. She then worked on 4 assessment exam exercises involving word problems with division of whole numbers, recognition of prime numbers, computing area and volume, and recognition of simple geometric transformations. She is doing very well."
